I have been into dieting and exercising since last 7 - 8 years. But because of thyroid and my work related stress, my fitness level had not really improved. That is how I got into running about a year back. Running helped me to relax and my fitness levels improved. I have been consistently running half marathons.It is during this time that I realised that I was feeling very tired and my running pace had dropped.With this in background, I got in touch with Chitra. My basic goals were improving my pace, and increasing my overall stamina . I also wanted my body to recover fast as post run I would feel very exhausted and would be lifeless for at least 2 - 3 days. This is apart from the severe pain in my body particularly my legs. I have been following the diet Chitra gave me for 3 months now. And the main difference I have noticed is my stamina and fitness have dramatically improved. After running the toughest city Hyderabad Half Marathon, I was in office and working the next day. I feel energetic and my acidity has completed stopped. And the icing on the cake is that I have lost 2.5 kgs in spite of struggling with thyroid. I met Chitra Kulkarni again on face book after about 10 or 12 years. It was 6 months ago when I first consulted Chitra for nutritional intake... as she was aware of my running and fitness activities. We have not even met or seen each other, we just belong to the same running groups but from a different regions. .I submitted my weight and body dimensions to her via WhatsApp.. We discussed the diet I was having then. Listening to my schedule and plans she strongly recommended that I increase my routine intake as I was in my ideal weight range but due to running , there was muscle loss. She suggested to increase my protein intake and included Whey and other protein rich foods in my diet considering that I am a vegetarian. I followed her plan thoroughly with my physical activities and workouts - core and strength along with my long runs. After about 2 months , I Started looking more fit with a better body than before. Without any great efforts and at ease I did 21 km in a good time of 2.10 hours twice in MUMBAI in a very humid weather. And most importantly i don't get fatigued even when I start my day at 5.15 am and retire from office by 8 pm with just a 10 minutes powernap after lunch.
